Muscles of Mastication

The 4 muscles of mastication are the ones responsible for moving the mandible so we can chew, talk, grind our teeth, and do anything that needs the mandible to move. Here are the names of these muscles:

1. Masseter
2. Temporalis

Pterygoid muscles

1. Lateral pterygoid muscle
2. Medial pterygoid muscle
